MANGROVE FOREST
Went to this area coincidentally with my
friends and we love it. For IDR 25,000 you get greeneries which is rare in Jakarta.
This area is basically a conservation area for mangrove, turned into some kind
of nature recreational area. Walking down the wooden bridge along the mangrove
forests are pleasant although feel hot when I visited there. Do bring your
mosquito repellent and umbrella as well especially is you come during wet season.
It appeared in the Mangrove Forest is also a
lot of corporates who donate mangrove. You can also donate a little of your
money for make mangrove planting at there. Besides enjoying the beauty of the
mangrove forest, you can also try a canoe or boat. Different as in a usually
recreation, here you board a boat or canoe alone, without a boat rowed by oarsman.
So tolerable to make muscle and feel how so tired to be a handyman paddle boat.
Enough with the Rp 50,000 to rent a boat or canoe, you can ride a boat or canoe
as you want for 40 minutes.
This place is also popular for photo session,
so bringing a descent camera is a must. But note not a professional camera (DSLR).
Extra payment is needed, if you bring professional camera (DSLR). We were asked
for 1 million rupiah, for 1 family, and at the entrance there a signage
"not allowed to bring cameras". So we decided to leave the DSLR and
make it a go with handphone camera, which is descent enough.
There's this small canteen that sells snacks
and refreshments, but better if you bring your own as well. There are also rent
a tent camp. You can bring your own tent. But there is provided also super cool
tents made of wood. The landscape is very nice because it directly overlooks
the mangrove forest.
